Virtual Trip

SENJI FORT 

The virtual field trip to Senji Fort was a very interesting and memorable learning experience. Through online videos and guided explanations, I was able to explore the historical importance of the fort without physically visiting the place. Senji Fort, also known as Gingee Fort, is famous for its strong and unique architecture built across three hills. During the virtual tour, I observed important structures like forts, temples, granaries, and watchtowers, which showed the advanced planning and construction skills of ancient times.

I also learned that Senji Fort was ruled by many powerful dynasties such as the Marathas, Mughals, and later the British. The fort played a significant role in history because of its strategic location and strong defense system. The tall hills and massive walls made it very difficult for enemies to capture the fort, which is why it earned the name “Troy of the East.” The virtual trip helped me understand how people lived, protected their kingdom, and used natural resources wisely.

Overall, this virtual field trip was both educational and enjoyable. It made history come alive in a modern way and helped me gain a deeper understanding of our cultural heritage. It also showed how technology can make learning more interactive and interesting.
